The Suns may have their sights set on another prize, but they are not considering bids for Durant.

The Phoenix Suns are determined to keep All-Star forward Kevin Durant in the starting lineup, despite the fact that other teams are trying to cut ties with their best players.  

Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report claims that even though the Phoenix Suns are considering offers for the 15-time All-Star, they have no plans to deal Durant at the trade deadline.

According to Fischer, the Warriors were reportedly considering a trade that would have brought Durant and Stephen Curry back together. But the Suns appear to have other ideas, and Jimmy Butler might be part of those ideas.

Jimmy Butler is crucial, as seen by the Suns' choice to stick with their current lineup rather than make changes. The Suns were one possible destination when the All-Star forward asked the Miami Heat for a trade a few weeks ago. A Booker, Butler, and Durant combination might improve them on paper.

With an overall record of 25–23, the Suns are currently ranked ninth in the Western Conference. Durant, Beal, and Booker have all missed time this season due to injury, which has affected the team's most important players. In addition to some subpar performance, the club has fallen short of my expectations ever since Durant was acquired.

Yes, the Suns would probably have to cut ties with one of their current three players—likely Bradley Beal—in order to find a way to bring Butler to Phoenix. Even though it's a difficult choice, if they want to establish themselves as serious contenders, it might be worthwhile in the long term.
