San Antonio Spurs Sign Thunder center Bismack Biyombo

NBA Trade Rumors: San Antonio Spurs Sign Thunder center Bismack Biyombo

Chris Haynes claims that Bismack Biyombo will be signed by the San Antonio Spurs.

Bismack Biyombo just finished a season in which he played in 40 games for the Oklahoma City Thunder and Memphis Grizzlies.

He shot 56.5% from the field (29 starts) and averaged 4.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game at the end of the season.

Chris Haynes revealed on Saturday that Biyombo will sign a contract with the San Antonio Spurs.

According to Haynes: "Free agent center Bismack Biyombo and the San Antonio Spurs have agreed to a 10-day contract, league sources inform me."

In the 2011 NBA Draft, Biyombo was selected seventh overall.
He has also played for the Phoenix Suns, Toronto Raptors, Orlando Magic, and Charotte Hornets.

In 839 games, he has shot 53.5% from the floor and averaged 5.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game.

In addition, the 32-year-old has made 40 NBA postseason appearances, including 11 starts.

Through the X user @jtakuz: "Biyombo has rated a positive on defense + rebounding last 5 seasons, he’s bad on offense but at least we have a backup now"

With a 22-27 record in 49 games, the Spurs are currently ranked as the 12th seed in the Western Conference.

They just lost to LaMelo Ball and the Charlotte Hornets 117-116.

The Spurs will play again on Saturday when they travel to Florida to play the Orlando Magic after the Hornets.
