NBA Rumors: Doug Christie pointed up problems, during his meeting with the Sacramento Kings' starting lineup

The Sacramento Kings' 132-108 loss to the Golden State Warriors on Friday left interim head coach Doug Christie dissatisfied with the performance of his starting lineup.

After the game, according to NBA insider Chris Haynes, Christie organized a conference with his starters to discuss everything from ball security to ensuring that everyone is in agreement. He also urged them to "challenge each other in a positive way" in order to produce more fruitful outcomes.

The Kings are having a difficult time after a great start when Christie first replaced Mike Brown.  After going 10-2 in Christie's first 12 games, they have already lost eight of their past 13.

During this run, the defense has given up a total of 272 points in back-to-back defeats.  On February 13, the New Orleans Pelicans reached a season-high total of 140 points.

Golden State shot 53.8 percent from the field (46.5 percent from three) against the Kings on Friday.  Additionally, Zach LaVine and Domantas Sabonis combined for nine of the 24 turnovers that the Warriors forced.

After making roster changes before the trade deadline, the Kings are still going through an adjustment phase.  They acquired LaVine as one of their primary offensive weapons and traded De'Aaron Fox to the San Antonio Spurs.

LaVine has had a slow start in his new residence.  His shooting % has dropped more than eight points overall (51.1 to 43.0) and his three-point percentage has dropped more than 18 points (44.6 to 26.4) from when he was with the Chicago Bulls, despite the fact that he is averaging 20.3 points per game in seven starts.

With a 28-28 record, the Kings are clinging to the 10th seed in the Western Conference.  For the last position in the play-in tournament, they are 1.5 games ahead of the Phoenix Suns (26-29).

In an attempt to turn things around, Sacramento will play the Charlotte Hornets on Monday and the Utah Jazz on Wednesday during an easier stretch of their schedule.
