NBA Rumors: Amid rumors, Giannis Antetokounmpo says he would not request a trade.

Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks has been the subject of numerous rumors that he would be dealt as early as this summer, but if he had his own, he wouldn't be leaving the Cream City anytime soon.

Speaking to Greek reporters Rigas Dardalis and Vassilis Skountis of COSMOTE TV (via Eurohoops.net), Antetokounmpo refuted the idea that he will ask the Bucks for a trade.

"I don’t think that I would ever text (and ask for a trade), I am not this kind of guy, they would have to kick me out," he stated.

Antetokounmpo responded humorously when Skountis and Dardalis made a joke about the prospect of being traded to the Detroit Pistons, referring to the trade of star player Luka Dončić from the Dallas Mavericks to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Antetokounmpo smiled and said, "Why are you sending me to Detroit when Luka at least traveled from Dallas to L.A."

However, there is no assurance that the Bucks won't consider making bold moves this summer. Despite Antetokounmpo's outstanding season, Milwaukee doesn't seem to be among the top contenders for an NBA championship, finishing fifth in the Eastern Conference with a 29-24 record. The 30-year-old went on to say that he would accept his fate if the organization were to move him because he knew the NBA's rules.

"NBA is business, if I got traded I would inform my family and would do my job," he stated.
