NBA Trade Rumors: Seth Curry Expected to Join Warriors, Reunite with Brother Stephen

Stephen Curry may soon share the Golden State backcourt with his brother, Seth Curry, as NBA insider Marc Stein reported a “strong expectation leaguewide” that Seth will sign with the Warriors, filling one of the team’s six remaining roster spots.

Other expected signees for Golden State include Al Horford, De’Anthony Melton, Gary Payton II, Will Richard, and Jonathan Kuminga. The additions of Seth Curry and Horford, alongside Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Jimmy Butler, signal the Warriors’ commitment to a win-now approach as they chase a fifth championship in the Curry-Green era.

The connection between the Warriors and Seth Curry isn’t new. ESPN’s Anthony Slater reported in July that mutual interest existed, with the sharpshooting guard expected to complement Golden State’s core.

Seth Curry, a Duke product, led the NBA in three-point percentage last season (45.6%) while with the Charlotte Hornets. Despite bouncing around several teams—including Memphis, Cleveland, Phoenix, Sacramento, Dallas, Portland, Philadelphia, and Brooklyn—he has proven himself as an elite perimeter shooter capable of spacing the floor.

His presence in Golden State’s offense will add another scoring threat, stretching defenses while Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler handle primary playmaking duties. Seth also has a chance to compete for his first NBA championship alongside his brother.
