NBA Trade Rumors: Jonathan Kuminga Reportedly Receives $90M Offer Amid Warriors Trade Talks with Suns, Kings
Golden State Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga has reportedly received a massive contract offer as part of ongoing sign-and-trade discussions, highlighting his growing value across the NBA.
According to ESPN’s Shams Charania and Anthony Slater, one team has offered Kuminga a four-year deal worth nearly $90 million, including a player option in the final year. While the team behind the offer has not been confirmed, the Phoenix Suns are said to have made the most aggressive push for the 22-year-old forward.
Suns and Kings Actively Pursuing Kuminga
Both the Suns and Sacramento Kings have emerged as serious contenders in the Kuminga sweepstakes. Charania reported that the Kings offered the Warriors a conditional first-round pick and a rotation player, while the Suns' package reportedly includes Royce O'Neale, Nick Richards, and four second-round picks, according to Marc J. Spears.
However, Golden State is holding out for more—specifically an unprotected first-round pick. The Warriors are reportedly unimpressed with the offers they've received so far and may shut down trade talks entirely.

Despite active trade discussions, the Warriors are under no obligation to move Kuminga. As a restricted free agent, Kuminga is under team control after Golden State extended him a $7.9 million qualifying offer earlier this offseason.
Should trade talks fall through, the Warriors reportedly plan to retain Kuminga on either the qualifying offer or a two-year extension they’ve already presented.

While he didn’t show major improvement statistically in 2024-25 (15.3 PPG on 45.4% shooting), Kuminga's late-postseason surge turned heads. With Stephen Curry sidelined, he averaged 24.3 points on 55.4% shooting and hit 38.9% from three in four playoff games—proving he can shine in a featured role.
